Annual Charter Night - Citizen of the Year / Community Service Award When: Saturday, February 2009 Where: The Kittle House, Chappaqua, NY Time: TBA
The Chappaqua Rotary Club’s “Community Service Award” is granted to a person who has set in motion a community service project, program or activity very much like the Rotary community and humanitarian service organization founded almost 100 years ago by Paul Harris and three of his friends. We honor the individual who has made a commitment to, taken a stand for, and through their own passion, insights and ideas affected the lives of other human beings. The result of their action is what we today observe as "making a difference". In summary, we look for someone who fits our organization’s motto of placing “Service Above Self”.
